bla bla long time!

well indeedy it has been a long time no post. What can you do. Here are some pictures and videos to make up for it.

Here is a sleep review from this morning:

Here is Bob after Davy gave him no sleep one night:

Davy wondering what on earth mom is getting up to:

Looking cute:

and looking silly:

So life is vaguely getting back to normal now. I am busy working on my research proposal which is due the end of October, otherwise I get tossed out by the university. Oddly enough they gave me a rather generous scholarship at the same time - strange behaviour given they're thinking of tossing me out. I've been working rather frantically on the proposal, while Davy has been at Rachel's house for about 5 or 6 hours a day, although not every day because of all the holidays there have been this month. Some days I take him to Rachels, attempt to work but can't due to sleep deprivation, then I take him back from her. He was sleeping beautifully - from 8 til 4, then til 830, but is not sleeping so well now. The problem is that he is not eating properly during the day. Life is just too too exciting, and mom's boobs are just a personal affront because they do not deliver the goods as quickly as a bottle. Mom's left boob in particular is just a menace and should be avoided at all costs, or if need be, eaten from for 3 minutes maximum. This is incredibly annoying behaviour which turns most feeding sessions into screaming matches, unless one can catch him when he is sleepy, which since he sleeps less these days is difficult. All is okay in Davy's world though because he can just wake up more at night and eat then. This is not good for us though!

Bob has been taking his fair share of nights with young Davy so that I can actually think during the day, and he has been taking strain too. He is also attempting to work on his master's work before and after work - a bit difficult also with sleep deprivation and a cranky wife. Although he did ask his work to pay him less and let him have a day off a week, and they said they would pay him the same and let him have the day off, which was very nice of them. The only problem is because of all these holidays he hasn't been able to have a day off because otherwise he would barely work at all. We are hoping things get a bit more on track when the semester starts and Davy is at a nursery for half the day, with me then succeeding in getting some work done, and Bob managing to get some work on the weekends. This is of course if the university (where the nursery is located) opens this year. As usual, Israeli style, there is a balagan with the university and funding - the university heads are threatening not to open the universities unless they get extra funding which was promised to them. It is never dull around here!

righto that is that - the dog needs a walk - maybe I will post again sometime in 2008!

Dude
all I can say is don't let David ever see these clips. You might scar the poor boy forever if he sees himself as a chicken and gangsta!
He is velly cute though!
