bad bad bloggers

need to attone! here for my sins, are some pictures and videos, to make up for my shocking lack of posting.

That is a video of Davy begging his aunty to put up some photos of his new cousin. His cousin was born on April 29th and is most adorable, and is making me very very broody!

Here are some pics taken recently. Here is Davy's ID picture for his school application. Yes I know I can't believe I had to get an ID picture for him. I am picturing the school with guards with Uzis. Given it is the local Jewish school, that sadly may be true and necessary but lets hope its not.

He is being sent there from January next year. It is a nice school, and about 70% Jewish, which makes me happy as I didn't want him to have a very insular experience, so its nice there'll be a bit of diversity. My catholic mother is less than pleased that he's being sent there, but she will have to cope, just like his other grandmother is less than pleased we live in South Africa now. Poor davy to have such crotchety grandmothers!

Here are some more pics. Some were taken at a holiday recently in the Cedarberg - a very beautiful place we've been going to since I was a wee one. Others were in Sedgefield with friends, and the others are Bob and I finishing a 12k trail run. I look shattered and I'd just fallen down the mountain - you can see on my leg some blood!

Other news is that I got the job as a Lecturer at a certain university. Very pleased although a bit shell shocked to already have started from May 1st. Also it looks like our house purchase is going through which is quite fabulous - by the end of the month we will hopefully be up to our eyeballs in debt!

Changes always bring something new which is absolutely great! And you have so many of them it's worth sharing!:))) But as for children growing up so quickly it's really sad. I understand your feelings.
